Tonight (Wednesday): A few snow showers can be expected along the North Sea coast, with a little drizzle along western coasts of Scotland and Northern Ireland, but elsewhere there will be long clear spells and a widespread frost.
Tomorrow: England and Wales will still be in the grip of the cold weather with a hard frost to start the day but most parts will be dry with plenty of sunshine. However, it will be cloudier in East Anglia and Kent with the risk of sleet and snow showers in a few places. Eastern Scotland will be a little warmer than of late and dry with plenty of sunshine but western Scotland will have more in the way of cloud with a little coastal drizzle. Northern Ireland will be dry with sunny spells.
Outlook for Friday and Saturday: Cloud and rain in the west on Friday will slowly move east during the afternoon. The rain lingering in England on Saturday morning before clearing to leave most parts dry and milder with sunny spells.
Oxfordshire: Sunny spells but also the risk of a sleet or snow shower, the risk greatest towards North Sea coasts. A light north to north-west wind. Max temp 3-6C (37-43F).
