HJC may be a virtually unknown motorcycle helmet in the UK, but with the help of the Kidlington-based accessories giant Oxford Products, it could well become a best-seller, writes Simon Nix.
In America, it is the top-selling helmet, and the HJC CL11 version comes in two ultra-light outer shell sizes and has passed the top safety tests, gaining BSI Type A approval, the ACU Gold badge and Snell M95 to make it legal for race-track use.
It comes with a draught-excluding "neck roll" and removable chin curtain, although spectacle or sunglass wearers may have trouble squeezing the arm of their frames back over their ears.
The multi-coloured 'lid' costs a recommended £99.99, while the plain black or white version is £84.99.
