A terrified woman was dragged into a toilet cubicle and indecently assaulted.
Police revealed today that the 45-year-old woman had been drinking with friends in Witney's Cross Keys pub on Saturday before catching a bus home. She stopped on the way to the bus stop at the Langdale Gate public toilets at about 4.20pm.
A man burst in, grabbed her and dragged her along the floor before indecently assaulting her. He fled when she screamed for help. The woman was not hurt but was left deeply distressed by the incident and it was some time before she was able to provide detectives with the full story.
The man is described as white, around five feet seven inches tall and of medium build. Aged in his mid-30s, he had cropped blond hair and was clean-shaven.
He was wearing loose-fitting, dark blue jeans and a lumberjack shirt with large green and black checks with a shirt or T-shirt underneath. He had a soft voice with a local accent.
