The friend of an Oxford climber who died on a blizzard-ravaged Alpine peak, has had his hands and feet amputated.
Doctors had battled for two weeks to save 29-year-old Jamie Andrew's badly frost-bitten limbs.
His flatmate Jamie Fisher, 27, of Harpes Road, north Oxford, froze to death on Les Droites, France.
