ANGIE Harriott was celebrating today after finding out that she has probably scored the fastest goal in British ladies football.
The 32-year-old Launton Ladies star slotted home after just SEVEN seconds in Sunday's match against Thame and is now waiting to discover from the Guinness Book of Records if it is a new best.
What makes the time even more amazing, is that her side didn't even kick off.
Said Angie: "We are always encouraged to get stuck in and that is what I did. Thame kicked off, knocked it back and I ran on and intercepted the ball.
"I must have gone past seven or eight of their players and when the keeper came out, I managed to slot it past her from about ten yards."
"I didn't think of the time when it happened, I just ran towards my teammates and celebrated," she added.
Angie, who has a famous relation in cousin Ainsley, the BBC chef, has scored 14 goals so far this season, but this one stands out.
"It still hasn't really sunk in yet," she said. "It would be brilliant if it is a record and my name goes in the Guiness Book of Records."
Angie added a second goal later in the match, which Launton won 12-0.
