A former Army sergeant showed two young girls 'unbelievably filthy' pornographic videos before taking photos and indecently assaulting one of them.
Jim Lund, 63, formerly of Lawrence Way, Bicester, was jailed for two years at Oxford Crown Court after admitting indecent assault, taking indecent photographs of children and possessing indecent photographs of children.
Gerard Quirke, prosecuting, said the girls were 12 and 13 years old. "He gave both of the girls wine to drink. After the wine was given, pornographic films were shown. The young girl who was indecently assaulted indicated she was disgusted.
"The girls were too frightened to object to the videos. Lund said the girls should experiment with such things when they were older and said the things on the screen were being enjoyed."
Mr Quirke said Lund then told the girls to get undressed and he took indecent, posed photographs of them. He then indecently assaulted the youngest girl.
Paul Mitchell, for Lund, said: "This is a one-off night of stupidity rather than a long, drawn out process of abuse over a long period of time," adding that Lund had served in the Army for more than 20 years. He was decorated for service in Northern Ireland. He had also been commended by police for helping capture an escaped prisoner.
Lund had told police: "I am so ashamed of it, it's not real. It's like somebody else is sat here. I can't believe it."
Judge Paul Clark, said the videos had been described as 'unbelievably filthy'. "Who knows what harm you did to those children by your filthy activities," he said.
Lund will have to register with police for ten years as he was described as having a significant risk of re-offending.
