THE Centre for Sport at Oxford Brookes University has been designated a Premier Coaching Centre by the National Coaching Foundation.

Oxford Brookes are one of 80 prestigious new centres being set up around the county and will provide some of the best possible facilities and amenities for all coaches of all sports in and around Oxfordshire.

The centre's co-ordinator will be able to offer local coaches advice and information about getting involved in coaching as well as the new range of National Coaching Foundation workshops to improve coaching skills. All courses are delivered by an experienced tutor providing practical hands-on advice to coaches of any sport.

The National Coaching Foundation (NCF) are the only organisation in Britain dedicated to the development of coaching and coaches.

In 15 years, they have provided educational and training opportunities to 115,000 coaches. Last year, more than 15,000 coaches and 12,000 schoolteachers attended NCF workshops.

Coaches wanting to book on any of the Premier Coaching Centre's workshop should telephone 0845 601 3054 or fax 0113 231 9606.
