She's the most talked about woman in the world. Newspapers and TV channels have bid hundreds of thousands of pounds to speak to her.

But we're giving readers an exclusive chance to quiz Monica Lewinsky themselves.

We're inviting you to submit your own questions to the woman whose affair with Bill Clinton plunged the US Presidency into crisis. Come up with a question you would love to put to the former White House intern and if it is good enough, we will ask her when we speak exclusively to her during her visit to Oxford next week.

You may want to ask her about the affair and the depth of her feelings for the most powerful man in the world.

You might want to know about the betrayal of her friend Linda Tripp, her torment at the hands of the American legal system or what the future holds. You can ask what you like - as long as we can print it.

We'll be giving away signed copies of Monica's book to the three readers who come up with the best questions, as judged by editor Chris Cowley. Simply write down your question and send it, with your name and address, to: The Monica Lewinsky Question, c/o Reg Little, Oxford Mail, Osney Mead, Oxford OX2 OEJ. Or phone in your question to Reg on 01865 425434.

Monica will be signing copies of her explosive book Monica's Story at Oxford's Waterstones store next Thursday.

A huge turnout is expected at the Cornmarket bookshop for the 90-minute session, starting at noon.

She is due to arrive in London on Monday and tour organisers say they selected Oxford as her first port of call outside the capital because of her interest in the city - where Bill Clinton was a student in the 1960s.

Spokesman Fiona Marsh said: "We immediately chose Oxford when putting the schedule together and hope she will get the chance to visit some of the sights.

"She is a real Anglophile. I'm sure she would love to just walk around Oxford but there is a risk she could be mobbed if she walks outside her hotel.

"I think we would just like to see how everyone relates to her. We may just have to drive her around to see the sights from the car. It will be up to her. She has a very exhausting schedule.

"We hope she will see something of Oxford, although we have to think of her safety and security first."
