CHRYSLER Jeep has bridged the gap between the Jeep Cherokee 4x4 range and the Grand Cherokee by launching the lavishly-equipped Cherokee Orvis. Based on the top-selling Cherokee Limited model, the Cherokee Orvis is the most luxurious Cherokee built for the UK.
It is available with Jeep's 4.0-litre six-cylinder petrol engine or with the 2.5-litre turbo diesel unit. The on-the-road price is £25,495, whichever engine is specified.
The arrival of the new top-of-the-range Cherokee Orvis echoes the successful introduction one year ago of a range-topping Orvis version of the Grand Cherokee - a model which went on to account for more than 40 per cent of all Grand Cherokee sales last year.
As with that model, Chrysler Jeep has teamed up with top U.S supplier of fly fishing equipment to produce the new flagship.
