Aston Martin has taken the wraps off a £100,000 high-performance sports car to be built at Bloxham, near Banbury.
The new 180mph Vantage version of the DB7, unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, is certain to be on the shopping list of the rich and famous.
Owners of the existing marque include the Prince of Wales, the Duke of York and soccer stars Ryan Giggs and Ian Wright. One person who is unlikely to be among the customers is Mr Bean and Blackadder star Rowan Atkinson, who lives at Waterperry, near Wheatley.
He decided to sell his 187mph Aston Martin Zagato because of worries about keeping his speed down after being fined for going 114mph.
The new DB7 Vantage is powered by a new, 6.0-litre V12 engine.
