A young woman jumped out of the cab of a lorry travelling at 50mph on a motorway after an argument with the driver.

The 21-year-old woman was today in the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, with serious head injuries following the incident on the M40 between Banbury and Ardley yesterday.

Dave Hogg, of Oxfordshire Ambulance Service, said paramedics treated the unconscious woman at the scene before transferring her to hospital.
