A problem child has been moved from a children's home following complaints about disruptive behaviour from nearby residents.
Social Services have stepped in after complaints from people in north Oxford about the behaviour of youngsters at Holme Leigh, in Banbury Road.
Barry Bowen, 66, of Hernes Road, has been campaigning for the home to be closed.
He said he and his 60-year-old wife, who is recovering from an operation, are woken almost on a nightly basis by disturbances from the home.
"It is quite intolerable," he added, "and I am not entirely convinced social services are doing everything they possibly can to help us.
"We will keep on protesting until we are able to live in peace." Phil Hodgson, assistant director of Oxfordshire Social Services, said steps were being taken to tackle disruptive youngsters.
He said: "We are aware of the residents' concerns and we are taking action to try to modify the children's behaviour.
"One resident, a girl, who was causing particular problems, has now been moved and we hope this means things will improve," he added.
There are about eight teenage boys and girls living in care at Holme Leigh.
