Oxford C 4, Peppard 1 OXFORD City cruised into the final of the Oxfordshire Senior Cup with a comfortable victory over Chiltonian League Peppard at Witney Town last night.
They will play the winners of Banbury United and Carterton Town in the final at The Manor on April 29.
It took the home side 15 minutes to go in front when a deep cross from Matt Gooderick was met perfectly by Ian Concannon's volley.
Peppard levelled five minutes later when Colin Fleet dropped a free kick from Friel over his line.
Within two minutes, City were ahead again. Andy Cooper helped on a long throw for Concannon, who notched his second.
Chris Ferdinand bagged No 3 in the 29th minute, shrugging off two defenders to shoot over the keeper.
Mann twice saved well to keep out headers from Ferdinand and Cooper, but City sewed it up with 20 minutes left when Gooderick cut inside to send a powerful low drive past the helpless keeper.
Oxford City: Fleet, Whitehead, Dark, Smith, Cooper, Wallbridge, Lee, Fontaine, Ferdinand (McCleary 81), Gooderick (Donaghue 81), Concannon (Strong 81).
