OXFORD Gresham Extreme Cheetahs will be full of confidence after their morale-boosting double over Coventry when they travel to meet Peterborough in a Craven Shield speedway clash at the East of England Showground today, writes JOHN GAISFORD
Todd Wiltshire will be out to prove he is worthy of the No 1 spot when he comes up against his old adversary and Cheetahs' No 1 last year Jason Crump.
The pair didn't hit it off too well last year after Crump thumped Wiltshire in a league clash at Oxford. However, that hatchet has now been buried.
With five Australians in the line-up it will become the clash of the antipodeans as Wiltshire and Crump will be joined by Steve Johnston, Craig Boyce and Ryan Sullivan.
Peterborough is normally a 'homers' track, but the Aussies seem to love it and expect a bold display from the Oxford squad in what looks a tricky fixture after the way the Panthers thumped Hull Vikings on Good Friday.
Peterborough: Crump, A N Other, Tesar, Andersen, Sullivan, Sadler, Howe.
Oxford: Wiltshire, Staechmann, Johnston, Hurry, Boyce, Hare, Rossiter.
