POLICE are investigating after a four-day old baby girl died in a tragic accident.
The baby, whose mother is just 15, fell on to a sofa while in the care of a young uncle and stopped breathing.
She was certified dead by a police surgeon.
The baby, who has not been named, lived with her mother and her grandmother at a mid-terraced house in Caernarvon Way, Banbury.
The family are said to be devastated by the tragedy which happened at around 10.30am on Easter Sunday. Spencer Treherne, based at Thames Valley Police's control room in Kidlington, said: "We are aware of the tragedy and the incident is not being treated as suspicious."
Thames Valley Police spokesman Richard
