GRESHAM Oxford Cheetahs travel to Norfolk tonight to take on a King's Lynn side looking for their first Craven Shield victory, writes JOHN GAISFORD.
The Knights are a team packed with talent, for alongside current world champion Tony Rickardsson, they have Shane Parker and two former Cheetahs in Tomas Topinka and Bo Brhel. Yet they haven't clicked so far.
They were narrowly defeated 48-42 at Wolverhampton on Monday. Rickardsson scored 15 points and seems to have overcome his indifferent start to the season.
There has been no such trouble for Brhel who has been flying this season, knocking up plenty of double-figure scores.
However, Cheetahs have happy memories of their first visit to Saddlebow Road last season and will be aiming to keep their good run going.
Fired up will be Alun Rossiter after his great efforts against Hull last week. He will be switching machines tonight, riding the GM instead of the JAWA. Let's hope he is not tempting fate.
Cheetahs go into the meeting full of confidence after winning four of their opening six meetings.
King's Lynn: Rickardsson, Kessler, Brhel, Topinka, Andersson, Dixon, A N Other.
Oxford: Wiltshire, Staechmann, Johnston, Hurry, Boyce, Hare, Rossiter.
