A 17-year-old boy needed hospital treatment after he was attacked with a bottle in a pub.
Police were called to the King's Arms, in Banbury Road, Summertown, Oxford, at 11.20pm on Friday. The victim was taken to hospital with cuts.
The fight broke out in the pub and continued outside.
The area was sealed off on Saturday while a police forensic team took evidence from the scene.
Insp Paul Church said: "The circumstances are still being investigated."
Four men have been arrested.
