MALCOLM Shotton, the former Oakwell No 2, is not considered among the front-runners for the job after John Hendrie got the Barnsley chop yesterday.
Shotton is committing himself to Oxford United by moving his family down from Yorkshire. Out-of-work Dave Bassett, Northern Ireland boss Mick McCarthy and Nigel Spackman are being tipped as likely contenders.
