Zeah Gaisford is dusting off her walking boots to trek 100km along the Great Wall of China.
Zeah, 45, of Ambrosden, near Bicester, has already walked on Mont Blanc and across Nepal, but said this was her greatest challenge yet.
She will jet out to Beijing on May 30 to start the eight-day walk, which she hopes will raise £2,000 for The Children's Society. Among the highlights of the trip will be visits to Beijing and Tiananmen Square. Zeah said: "It is not going to be easy. It is mountainous and, in places, extremely difficult. I've just got the itinerary through and it look like we have to walk up 1,000 steps at one stage - that is going to be tough!"
Zeah pledged £250 towards her target and has raised further funds by holding car boot sales and raffles.
