GRESHAM Oxford Cheetahs could be coming up against another former Oxford rider in Mark Lemon if Eastbourne snap him up as expected at Arlington tonight.
The south coast track should be given the all-clear for the Craven Shield speedway clash despite the recent poor weather and Cheetahs are hoping to make it third time lucky after having the meetings against Eastbourne and Ipswich rained off at Sandy Lane.
Lemon would join former Cheetahs Martin Dugard and Dean Barker in the Eastbourne line-up.
Meanwhile, Cheetahs will be hoping to include skipper Craig Boyce after a bout of chicken pox as they get back to full strength and try and maintain a spot in the top four qualifying places.
Eastbourne: Norris, Lemon, Barker, Larsen, Dugard, Povaznhy, Collyer.
Oxford: Wiltshire, Staechmann, Johnston, Hurry, Boyce, Hare, Rossiter.
LAST night's Craven Shield meeting against Ipswich Witches was called off at midday yesterday because of a waterlogged track at Oxford Stadium. A new date has yet to be arranged.
