Two people have been arrested in connection with the murder of Sean Wearmouth, whose naked body was found in a pond.
Police officers from Thames Valley Police and Bedfordshire arrested two people on suspicion of murder.
The 29-year-old's body was found on Tuesday in a shallow pool next to the A421
Bicester to Buckingham Road. He had suffered serious head and facial injuries.
Yesterday, a man and a woman were still being questioned following their arrest. Police believe Mr Wearmouth, of Hambling Close, Dunstable, was killed elsewhere.
Neighbour Tom O'Connor said: "It is such a shame. He was a nice lad and never abusive. He would always speak and pass the time of day even if he was with his mates. I was shocked when I heard Sean had been brutally murdered - the poor lad."
Mr O'Connor's wife Dorothy said the Wearmouth family had lived in the street for 19 years. "They are a nice family and we have always got on," she said. "When I spoke to June about what had happened, she told me she had gone for a walk and tears just poured out." Thames Valley Police are still appealing for anyone who might have seen something on the A421 on Sunday or Monday to call the incident room on 01296 396170.
