A grieving mum has spoken of her horror at learning that her son had been murdered and dumped naked in a roadside pond.

Sean Wearmouth, 29, of Hambling Place, Dunstable, Bedfordshire, was found in a water-filled ditch near a lay-by on the A421 in Stratton Audley, near Bicester, last Tuesday.

On Saturday, Bryne Lincoln, 26, and Tracey Kyte, 29, of Rodeheath, Luton, appeared before Oxford magistrates charged with Mr Wearmouth's murder. They were remanded in custody until Friday. The victim's mother June Wearmouth said her family was struggling to cope after learning of her son's death last Wednesday.

She said: "Dunstable CID came to the house and just told me that Sean's body had been found in Oxfordshire under suspicious circumstances.

"I then had the awful task of doing an official identification on Thursday morning.

"We are not coping at all well.

"My daughter Julie is very distressed while my son Paul is very angry and frustrated." Mrs Wearmouth said her unemployed son was born in South Africa.

The family then moved to Dunstable when he was six.

She added: "He was very well liked by everyone and would do anybody a favour. I still half expect him to come through the door.

"He was a very immature 29.

"He was mad on motorbikes, especially off-road and loved tinkering around with cars. He lived for the day and was really happy-go-lucky - that's what makes this all so hard."
