Tenants have hit out angrily following an outcry over the rehousing of a convicted paedophile in their village.
Villagers in Cholsey are furious that they were not informed that a man, with a previous conviction for a sexual offence against juveniles, had been moved into temporary accommodation in Honey Lane.
But one South Oxfordshire Housing Association tenant, Ann Moody, who has lived in the flats for almost a year, claims the furore has tarred all the residents with the same brush. She says it is "very unfair" for the rest of the occupants to come under intense local scrutiny following last week's public meeting in the village pavilion, at which families protested against the man moving in.
Residents are due to meet with housing association officer, John Crapper tomorrow to discuss the situation.
Tenant Miss Moody, 54, said the broad condemnation of everyone living in the flats was very hurtful.
