Four football fans launched a vicious attack on a man after an Oxford United match, a court heard.
The men repeatedly kicked and punched a man on the ground in Cuckoo Lane, Headington, Oxford, after a local derby match between Swindon Town and Oxford United at the Manor ground on February 13.
Jason Betty, 28, of Quedgeley, Gloucestershire; Adam Cinquegrani, 19, of Toot Hill, Swindon; Bradley Evans, 20, Godolphin Close, Freshbrook, Swindon; and Stephen Wall, 34, of Hardwick, Gloucestershire, pleaded guilty at Oxford Magistrates' Court yesterday to a charge of affray.
Cinquegrani pleaded guilty to an additional charge of assaulting a police officer. The four fans were traced from CCTV footage after the incident. John Small, prosecuting, said: "It was an aggressive, vicious attack on a man, who is presumed to be an Oxford United supporter, who has not been traced."
He added: "Cinquegrani can be seen kicking the man four times while he is still on the floor."
Tim Burrows, defending Wall and Betty, said: "Both men had come to Oxford for a football match with no intention of causing trouble. Trouble found them."
The men were bailed to appear before magistrates on June 8 for sentencing. Four other fans charged with affray were bailed until June 4. Swindon Town lost the match 2-0.
