RELEASED Oxford United centre back Brian Wilsterman is hoping that Walsall boss Ray Graydon renews his interest in him following the Saddlers' promotion to Division 1.
The Dutch defender said: "I hope I will get a chance to go and play at Walsall and that the manager gives me the opportunity to play.
"They said to Maurice Evans that they would come back if they got promoted so I am waiting to hear from them ."
Former Oxford United winger Chris Allen is one of those released by Port Vale.
Meanwhile, United hope to announce season ticket details by the end of this month following the Football Licensing Authority's decision to grant the club a 12-month dispensation to continue using the Manor Ground.
