THAME United have been rewarded for their shock FA Umbro Trophy victory over St Albans City with a money-spinning second-round tie at Nationwide Conference club Kettering, writes RUSSELL SMITH.
Oxford City, meanwhile, must travel to face the winners of Ryman League Premier pair Harrow Borough and Hitchin Town, who replay at the former's ground tonight.
Witney Town are also on the road with a trip to Heybridge Swifts, the Ryman Premier's bottom club. The ties are due to take place on Saturday, November 27.
Thame joint manager Andy Sinnott was delighted with the prospect of a visit to Kettering.
"There will be a big crowd and they are one of the big names of non-League football. Maybe it is a chance to add another scalp to our belts," he said.
Meanwhile, striker Mark West, who missed the win over St Albans as he was best man at his brother's wedding, may have to settle for a place on the bench as Thame go in search of much-needed Ryman Division 1 points when they visit Bishop's Stortford tonight (7.45).
Thame Utd: Moores, Joe, Gascoyne, Brown, Tregurtha, A Williams, Louis, Fontaine, Perna, G Williams, West, Beauchamp, Saulsbury, Stewart, Townsend.
Oxford City will also be looking to pick up points to move away from the lower reaches of Ryman Division 1 when they take on bottom club Chertsey Town at Court Place Farm.
Stewart McCleary and wing back Chris Potter are added to the squad.
Oxford City: Foster, Morrisey, Dark, Peirson, Hayward, Sweeney, Lee, Smith, Strong, Davy, Wimble, Smart, Whitehead, McCleary, Potter.
Abingdon Town centre back Nathan Woodley is set to go on trial at Aylesbury United.
Town have agreed that the 19-year-old, who is under contract, can play for the Ducks reserves in their next Capital League match.
Meanwhile, Abingdon have put in a seven-day approach for Thame left back Anthony Burden.
Midfielder Tristan Didcock (back) is doubtful for Abingdon's Vandanel Trophy first-round tie at Hungerford Town after picking up a back injury in Saturday's 2-1 friendly defeat at Brackley Town.
Abingdon Tn: from Taylor, Brown, Campbell, Woodley, Hannah, Cleevely, Atkins, Banham, Wyatt, Carlisle, Wells, Smith, Johnson, Sutherland.
