OXFORD'S ailing ice hockey club, the Blades, will definitely complete their fixture at home to Invicta Dynamos this Sunday.
The club are following up responses to their financial plight and have deferred a decision on their future until after the weekend.
Director Sid Cabby said: "In general the response from local businesses has been disappointing, but we do have a few interested parties and should know more on Friday.
"The council who own the rink are being very flexible towards us and the players showed last weekend that they will give their all for Oxford.
"One supporter offered £1,000, and while there is still hope we will do all we can to keep senior hockey alive in Oxford."
