ASSISTANT manager Mark Harrison has slammed a section of Oxford United supporters who barracked goalkeeper Andre Arendse before Tuesday night's second division game at Scunthorpe.
Some fans behind Arendse's goal at Glanford Park gave the keeper a hard time after some inconsistent displays this season.
"They were totally out of order," said Harrison.
"We don't mind the fans giving Malcolm and myself stick, but to give him stick before the game had started was very unfair.
"He gave them the best possible answer and showed what a top-class international goalkeeper he is."
Despite the barracking, Arendse went on to turn in his best performances of the season, with a string of excellent saves to keep his side in the match, until they fell to an 89th minute goal.
