Heavy rain was blamed for a number of accidents in the county over the weekend.

A 52-year-old pedestrian was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital with minor injuries after an accident involving a car in Oxford Road, Rose Hill, Oxford, on Saturday night.

And three people were injured in a collision between two cars on the Oxford ring-road, between the roundabouts at Heyford Hill and Abingdon Road, yesterday morning.

The heaviest rain started moving north away from the county late last night.
