A JOBS boost is taking shape with the launch of a new £6m health and fitness club.

More than 70 staff are being recruited to work at the new Esporta Health and Fitness Club, which will open in the grounds of St Edward's School, off Woodstock Road, Oxford, at the end of January.

General manager Guy Riggott said he was recruiting staff now to work in all areas of the club, including the health and beauty spa, gym, pool, restaurant and children's activity area.

He said: "We are now making preparations for the opening and are looking for the right people for a range of positions.

"They should also be interested in health and fitness and have a passion for great service. We recruit team players who appreciate recognition and rewards.

"With 26 health clubs around the country, we are also able to offer excellent opportunities to progress."

Esporta is part of First Leisure Health and Fitness Clubs which also includes Espree, Riverside and the County Racquets and Health Clubs.

Esporta recently won two coveted fitness industry awards which recognise fitness leadership and management excellence.

Anyone interested in the jobs should apply to Liz Malloy at First Leisure Health and Fitness, Nine Mile Ride, Bracknell, Berkshire.
