WYCOMBE Wanderers have disclosed the details of Jermaine McSporran's transfer from Oxford City - on the eve of tomorrow's FA Cup first-round tie between the two clubs and a year after the deal was done.

The fee the Division 2 club paid for the 22-year-old striker was a heavily-guarded secret at the time.

But now Wycombe have revealed they splashed out £85,000 on McSporran which could rise to a maximum of £135,000 based on appearances.

Abingdon Town received a slice of the fee as they had what was understood to be a 35 per cent sell-on clause following McSporran's £1,500 move to City a year earlier.

City have a 20 per cent sell-on clause of any profit Wycombe make from selling McSporran.

Meanwhile, it seems McSporran's fame has no bounds - he even got a mention on Radio 5 Live's racing bulletin yesterday.

Previewing Windsor's meeting where it was Wycombe Wanderers FC day, presenter Cornelius Lysaght announced: "The whole of the team will be there inclduing star player Jermaine McSporran."
