STAR striker Carl Henry is set to return with Witney Town's blessing for tomorrow's Dr Martens League Eastern Division game against Fisher Athletic (London) at Marriotts Stadium.
Henry pulled out of Witney's trip to Stamford on Tuesday after going on trial at Oxford United where he was due to play for the reserves against Gillingham on Wednesday.
However, he ended up missing that game too - a situation which didn't go down well with Witney manager Andy Lyne.
He said:"Although I want him to do as well as he can, and if he gets a chance at Oxford United to go for it, my major concern is Witney and to field the strongest team we can."
Geoff Neville faces a late fitness test on his hamstring strain, while Chris Organ misses the game to attend a family funeral and Andy Flory is doubtful due to family illness.
Witney Tn: from Alder, A Flory, Murphy, Tavinor, Neville, Redknap, Caffel, Abercrombie, Swann, Henry, Bourne, Dumbuya, Waters, Miller, Merritt, Morgan. Thame United bid to stretch their unbeaten run to nine games when they visit fellow high-fliers Leyton Pennant in Ryman Division 1.
Joint manager Alan Thorne, who names an unchanged squad, said: "They beat us 2-1 in a cup competition at the beginning of the season when we were not performing well, and we will be looking to turn that round."
Meanwhile, Thame have signed young striker Sam Shepherd from Chesham, and he is set to make his debut in the reserves at home to Basingstoke Res.
Thame Utd: from Moores, Joe, Gascoyne, Brown, Tregurtha, A Williams, Jones, West, G Williams, Walker, Paul, Fontaine, Perna, Walker, Saulsbury.
Abingdon Town manager Bob Rayner is starting to fear for his own future - and will accept nothing less than a win against fellow strugglers Tring Town in Ryman League Division 3 at Culham Road. He said: "We have got to get three points and if we don't, I don't know what the consequences will be."
He hopes to complete the signing of Thame's Anthony Burden in time for the game.
Goalkeeper David Jenkins retains his place, with Kevin Phillips unable to commit himself to the club and David Taylor having suffered a dislocated finger.
Meanwhile, centre back Nathan Woodley continues to attract interest from Aylesbury, and is due to play for the Ducks reserves against Stevenage Res in the Capital League next Wednesday.
Abingdon Tn: from Jenkins, Brown, Woodley, Hannah, Campbell, Johnson, Burden, Clarke, Smith, Didcock, Wyatt, Atkins, Carlisle, Banham.
