FORD is recalling more than 32,000 cars in the UK because of faulty doors. The company has received complaints that customers have had trouble slamming the doors shut.
As a result, 32,235 Focus, Mondeo and Cougar models made between September and November 1998 are being recalled.
The recall is expected to cost the company around £8m and follows a £3m recall in June when 61,000 Focus cars had to have an under-bonnet electrical fault repaired.
*Vauxhall is recalling 6,557 Frontera 4x4 models because of a steering problem. The recall affects all models built from June 1998 until September 1999.
