Postman Jason Rowe had one delivery he did not expect this Christmas - his first baby.
He showed he was first class when his wife Sharon went into labour at their home - 11 days early. And the proud hubby proved he had it licked when just under two hours later he had delivered an extra special package - Maisie Jayne, weighing 6lb 3oz.
He and Sharon, who live at Barton, Oxford, called out the midwife who said Sharon had several hours still to go. But TEN minutes after she had left, the contractions came much stronger and faster. Jason, 31, who works for the Royal Mail delivering post in Barton, again called the midwife but he delivered the baby before she got back.
Sharon, 29, a cleaning supervisor at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford, said: "Jason is my hero. I thought he would fall apart, but he was great."
