SATURDAY'S Hellenic League Premier Division fixture between Almondsbury and Bicester was brought to an abrupt halt mid-way through the first half when referee Kevin Small from Swindon suffered a heart attack.
The game was immediately abandoned and the referee taken to hospital.
His condition yesterday was said to be critical but stable.
