THE sun came out moments before the Princess Royal arrived in Oxfordshire by helicopter today, to visit a home for people with learning difficulties.
The Princess, wearing a tweed coat trimmed with green velvet, was greeted at Milton Heights, near Didcot, by Hugo Brunner, Lord Lieutenant of Oxfordshire.
The Royal visitor, patron of the Home Farm Trust, which runs the home, visited accommodation adapted for residents before going on to the organic gardens tended by residents.
She then visited the craft room where she met residents and staff.
In her speech, she praised the work of volunteers and said visiting the home was the only way to understand what it did.
