DESPITE training with Thame, Terry Morrisey won't sign for the club in time for tomorrow's trip to Braintree in Ryman Division 1.
Morrisey's last club, Clanfield, released the player to Thame, but Oxford City hold Morrisey's registration in the Ryman League, meaning Thame have had to make another seven-day approach to City.
Morrisey was at the centre of a row between Witney Town and Oxford City, which ended with Witney being fined £200 by the FA for making two seven-day approaches for the player.
Thame's joint manager Andy Sinnott said: "Terry would be a welcome addition to our squad, but we are making sure we are doing everything by the book."
Ronnie Joe comes back into the side after suspension as Thame try to forget last week's defeat against bottom club Chertsey.
Sinnott was confident of staying on the promotion trail and said:"We didn't do ourselves any terminal damage last week."
Thame: Moores, Perna, G Williams, Brown, Tregurtha, A Williams, Saulsbury, Fontaine, Paul, Shepherd, Louis, West, Mitchell, Sherwood, Emsden. Oxford City have three players out for the match against Leatherhead tomorrow at Court Place Farm.
Jason Davy, Matty Hayward and Justin Lee are all injured, and Julian Dark is doubtful after picking up a thigh injury in midweek.
Gavin Rose returns from his trial at Greenock Morton and is included in manager Paul Lee's side.
Oxford City: Foster, Smart, Dark, Hulbert, Peirson, Thorp, Smith, Whitehead, Sweeney, McCleary, Strong , Wise, Wimble, Potter, Mannering, Rose.
Abingdon Town travel to Egham Town and manager Bob Rayner is confident his side are finally getting it right after three succxessive wins.
He said: "Hopefully we are at the start of putting something together."
