GIANT striker Kevin Francis was due to be back in training today with Oxford United after being given the all-clear by a specialist on his troublesome hamstring injury.
United manager Denis Smith also reported that goalkeeper Paul Lundin's foot injury was progressing well, and he was hopeful he would be fit for the relegation battle against Chesterfield at the Manor on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Smith believes he has laid the foundations to secure a defender on loan next week to provide cover when Steve Davis and Phil Whelan are suspended.
