RESIDENTS have won a victory against plans for a 24-hour Stagecoach bus depot after a unanimous vote by councillors last night (Thursday, February 17).
But far from celebrating, they are bracing themselves for the company to lodge an appeal.
Cherwell District Council planners rejected plans for a depot with spaces for 148 buses and 43 minibuses at Langford Lane, Kidlington.
They expressed concerns over fumes, light pollution and inadequate car parking.
Tony Teagle, of the North Kidlington Residents Action Group, said after the meeting: "We look at this as a temporary respite which will give us time to get organised to prepare for any appeal."
