THAME United are set to sign Harlow Town striker Wayne Cort - the brother of Wimbledon star Carl - on a month's loan in a bid to boost their promotion challenge from Ryman League Division 1.
Thame have beaten off fierce competition from promotion rivals Croydon and Dr Martens League club Tonbridge Angels for Cort.
And if the paperwork goes through in time, he will be included in the squad for tomorrow's promotion battle with Worthing at Windmill Stadium.
Thame are signing Cort, who is out of contract at the end of the season, with a view to a permanent move.
Joint manager Andy Sinnott said: "He was a big part of their promotion side last year when he got 27 goals, but he has been kept out of the side this year." Thame have also completed the signing of wing back Terry Morrisey from Oxford City on non-contract forms, and he could also face Worthing.
"I see it as a fresh start for Terry," said Sinnott. "I want the Terry Morrisey who was producing the goods two years ago for City. The Terry Morrisey over the last 18 months has not realised his true potential."
