By Russell Smith OXFORD City centre back Michael Thorp could be on his way to Bath City.
The former Reading defender is thinking over a move to the promotion-chasing Dr Martens League Premier Division club after they put in a seven-day approach for him.
Thorp is not under contract, so no fee would be involved.
City manager Paul Lee said: "Obviously, I don't want to lose him, but he has had a very good offer and it would be a better standard of football."
Should Thorp decide to join Bath, he would miss City's Ryman League Division 1 clash against promotion candidates Maidenhead United at Court Place Farm tonight (7.45).
