OXFORDSHIRE FA chairman Ray Mills quit last night as the row involving the OFA and their 'sacked secretary' Ron Leaver took a dramatic new twist.

Mills, who has been a member of the OFA for 17 years and chairman for the past decade, has also quit as divisional representative for the City division.

Mills's decision to go came at a meeting last night of the OFA Council, which also arranged a extraordinary general meeting to be held at Pressed Steel Social Club, Roman Way on Monday, March 20 (7pm).

A statement from the OFA said that Mills's decision to leave "came after consultations with the Football Assocation last week".

Mills declined to comment today, saying that he would issue a statement at the weekend.
