THE Oxfordshire FA have drawn up a four-point agenda for the extraordinary general meeting which is to take place to settle the row involving their 'sacked' secretary Ron Leaver.
Clubs and members are set to meet at Rover Sports Club on Monday, March 20 (7pm) to discuss the following items:
Response to Ron Leaver's letter of January 5
Articles of Association
Explanation of Ron Leaver's dismissal
The way forward
Since Leaver was 'sacked', chairman Ray Mills and vice-chairman Dick Offord have both resigned, leaving the OFA void of leadership.
A rebel section of 49 clubs and leagues had previously called the EGM and put forward a five-point agenda after the OFA failed to meet the deadline required to give clubs and members notice of an EGM. Witney Town chairman Brian Constable, leader of the 'rebel 49', said he had not seen the OFA agenda, but he would accept it if it contained the points in the agenda which the clubs had put forward.
He has already hinted at the possibility of taking legal action if the points the clubs put forward were not followed.
Meanwhile, he said the clubs were waiting for the FA's response to changes that they were proposing to make.
"The clubs will then meet before March 20 and decide what changes to propose," he added.
"We will not be going there to discuss things. We will be going there with proposals for change. "The main issue the clubs have got is basically that the people who sit on the OFA Council should be elected representatives similar to Parliament.
"At the moment they are not, they are co-opted which has happened in those other instances.
"The thing that will cause the biggest uproar of all is if council members vote Ray Mills back in as chairman, which they can do. "They are legally entitled to elect a chairman from within the council, but if they do that it will be a complete farce."
Constable was also concerned about who would be chairing the meeting.
He said the clubs had been prepared to accept Offord as he was a club representative for the North, but now he had resigned.
