Bicester & North Oxford broke their Home Counties Premier League duck in style with a 108-run victory over Bletchley Town on Saturday.
Having been asked to bat, Bicester's Ian Hawtin and James France put on 50 before France shouldered arms to Zafar.
Hawtin looked set for his first ton of the season until a difference of opinion with Ben France in the middle of the pitch led to his being run out.
The departure of Ben France at 154-3 then brought together county skipper Rob Williams and Graham Savin who set about the bowling. When Savin was eventually bowled by Locke, the pair had added 88 in just 12 overs, managing to lose one ball in the process and leaving South African Renoir du Toit no opportunity to display his undoubted batting skills for his new club.
Williams was unbeaten on 71 as Bicester reached their 66 overs on a formidable 242-4.
In reply, Bletchley were pegged back by the accuracy of Savin and Mark Stanway, and when Ben France removed Locke and Brown, the writing was well and truly on the wall.
Paul Jeacock, relishing a turning pitch, polished off the last five wickets to finish with figures of 6-22 as Bletchley were dismissed for 124 in the 45th over.
