Jenson Button completed a highly successful three-day test session for the Grove-based BMW Williams Team, topping the lap times at Monza.
Working on set up configurations for next week's Canadian Grand Prix, Button set a fastest lap of 1min 24.054secs from 31 laps of the circuit.
The McLarens of David Coulthard and Olivier Panis finished the session second and third quickest respectively, ahead of Jos Verstappen's Leafield-built Orange Arrows-Supertec, Jordan's Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Jacques Villeneuve's Brackley-based BAR. BMW Williams test team driver Bruno Junquiera finished the session seventh fastest in a time of 1min 25.622secs.
Jordan Mugen-Honda driver Heinz-Harald Frentzen, who completed 105 laps of the circuit, said: "I already think that we will be pretty impressive at the Italian Grand Prix in September."
