A street party is being planned for two villages to mark the Millennium.
Residents on the Tubney Millennium Committee have organised a host of events for their village and neighbouring Fyfield.
A week-long event will be packed with activities such as time capsules, tree-planting and street parties in the two villages near Abingdon.
Starting on July 2, a service will be held at Fyfield Church, at 10.30am.
On July 4 and 5, villagers can enjoy Millennium games and a quiz at the White Hart pub, Fyfield, starting at 7pm each day. On July 6, at 8pm, a concert at Fyfield church will include poetry readings by local resident Claire Evans.
Throughout the week villagers will square up to each other on court in a tennis competition. The finals will be held in Tubney on July 7.
On July 8, a pig roast and barbecue will be held in Fyfield, and both villages will end their celebrations with a street party in Tubney the following day.
Abingdon Road, Tubney, will be closed from midnight on July 8 to midnight on July 9 to make way for the street party.
It starts at noon, with a tree-planting ceremony conducted by Betty Walker, 85, the village's second oldest resident.
Street games will entertain the more than 50 children and 150 adults.
