Oxford United skipper Les Robinson is set to be unveiled today as the new player-coach of Mansfield Town, according to reports from Nottinghamshire.
Robinson, who has spent ten years at the Manor Ground, is understood to have accepted Mansfield's two-year offer.
Meanwhile, Joey Beauchamp is to meet with Denis Smith today before deciding whether he will be staying at the Manor. And local rivals Reading appear to be out of the running. Royals manager Alan Pardew said: "It's very unlikely he'll be coming here, for a few reasons. It's not about money - because if it was he would be joining us."
Smith said: "I'm very hopeful he'll sign with us, but I know he's had some other very good offers."
