Steve Bates hit a brilliant unbeaten century to steer Shipton-under-Wycwhood to a 56-run victory over Kingston Bagpuize in the Oxfordshire sem-finals of the Wadworth 6X National Village Championship.
Bates blasted 126 not out as the reigning county champions rattled up a formidable 244-6 off 40 overs.
He was well supported by Stewart Gillett with 38, while Dave Pearce took 3-34.
In reply, Kingston started brightly, but Rob Keates ran himself out for a quick 30 and then only Dominic Pike (63) made any impression as they closed on 188-8.
Now Shipton, who reached the national semi-finals last year before losiing to Kent side Linton Park, will visit Tiddington in the county final on Sunday, June 25.
Tiddington shot out Chalgrove for 104 in the other semi-final to set up an eight-wicket win. Left arm quickie Neil Smith (3-11) and Nathan Brooks (3-38) were the chief destroyers.
The target posed few problems for Tiddington as they stormed home with John Hurley 35 not out.
