No fewer than four players scored double sixes in the latest round of matches in the Morrells Oxford & District League - John Bailey (15), Graham Baldwin (15), Den Sellar (16) and Dave Sawyer (16).
Bailey was the unluckiest. His team Blackbird Leys A came up against an in-form Saddlers Arms, for whom Mick Berry scored 15, and lost 3-0.
Sellar's 16 helped a consistent Cricketers B win 3-0 against Highfield A with scores of 33-27, 31-27 and 31-26. Baldwin got sixes in the two legs in which Cricketers A amassed 32 dolls against Plough A.
Sawyer's 16 helped George A to a 2-1 win over Kidlington Sports, for whom Robin Cooper scored 14, including a six.
Tiddington Cricket Club maintained their form in Section 2, with a 3-0 victory over Kidlington Sports A, Jock Carruthers scoring 13 dolls for the winners.
Betty James, with 11 dolls, top-scored for Cowley Workers in their Section 3 win over the Bull, for whom Ronnie Wade also scored 11.
Darren Trinder and Paul Hedger struck a dozen apiece to help gain a 2-1 victory for Vikings A over North Leigh FC in Section 5.
A six from Dennis Crook for TA Club stopped Democrats taking all three points in their Section 6 game.
