Final preparations are taking place for Bicester Town Carnival on June 25.

The carnival will include a procession, displays, stalls, gym and dance demonstrations, a football tournament, a tug of war and a sponsored cycle ride.

The event kicks-off with a procession from Cooper School, in Churchill Road, at noon, which will make its way through the town centre, into Old Place Yard and then Pingle Field.

Displays will be on show by local clubs on Pingle Field, where there will also be demonstrations by the gym and local dance clubs.

A five-a-side football tournament is also planned, together with a tug-of-war competition - a barrel of beer awaits the winners. Food lovers can browse stalls from the town's Farmer's Market and enjoy a Chinese cooking display by chefs from the Wah Hong, in Market Square.
